Senior Digital Product Manager

Job description

As a Digital Product Manager, you are responsible for the product lifecycle management and value realization of the products in your leadership. You actively collaborate to upskill the product management capability of your colleagues in the organization, bringing a customer-centric approach and strategic thinking for the product development initiatives.

Your role is not limited to a specific product, you will be assigned to different strategic projects related to Digital Products of the Sales Excellence Domain, acting also as a mentor to colleagues. You are excited to drive the creation of the best possible digital customer experience to drive digital sales growth.

The first strategic project you will work on will be the implementation of a CPQ (Configure Price Quote) solution, which enables engineers, such as those from well-known global manufacturing companies, to easily find the right product with the desired specifications for their products or manufacturing process, just by uploading a CAD design.

You’re the linking pin between Sales, our Centers of Expertise (CoE) and external and internal development teams.


Your responsibilities:

  • You translate the customer needs into a product strategy, including expected business value and the realization of associated benefits for the customer and ERIKS.
  • Together with Engineering, you are responsible for the product roadmap and initiatives to improve customer experience, as well as leading the delivery cycle in partnership with the development resources.
  • You work closely with stakeholders like our industry product specialists and sales & marketing to understand the business opportunities.
  • Champion and lead design thinking activities and workshops with stakeholders in relevant digital products (e.g. emphasise, ideate, prototype, pilot, etc.).
  • Translate business requirements and customer pain points into clear and fully defined functional and technical requirements to be implemented (create user stories and a product backlog).
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Define relevant product guardrail standards, so digital products can be scaled across different markets.
  • Make sure external and internal stakeholders deliver

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree;
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Product Manager;
  • Experience with functional requirements for digital solutions;
  • Familiar with Agile/Lean product development practices, have experience in working with teams using Scrum;
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and Power Point;
  • Good communicator in an international setting (able to communicate at different levels in an executive, commercial and operational setting);
  • Analytical mindset, pragmatic, results focused, data driven, can do attitude, pro-active. Ability to explain and present complex matters in a simple way;
  • Not just the ability, but the preference to work in a fast paced and agile environment;
  • Highly collaborative DNA; eager to help colleagues across the business and understands success is always a team effort;
