React Front-end engineer (CMS / AEM experience is a plus)

ERIKS Digital is looking for a Front-end engineer (preferably with CMS/AEM experience)

We are working on 5 different propositions, building new digital solutions for our external customers and

internal use. As our Front-end engineer you will join the AEM team and be mainly responsible for developing

and improving the customer facing part of our websites (of 20 different countries!). 

We are looking for a developer to lead the front-end development of all these local websites, based on AEM. 

This an interesting opportunity for someone that likes to build things, operate internationally and work with great people! It will

involve making architectural choices and design decisions together with leads of various disciplines like our FE

architect. You will work closely together in a scrum team with the Product Owner, back-end developer,

designers, test automation engineer, DevOps and the marketing team.

Furthermore, you will be working with the other Front-end colleagues of ERIKS digital. The Front-end discipline

collaborates to contribute to a seamless customer journey cross product, tackle architectural challenges, and

share knowledge and important learnings between the different product teams. We have organized various

sessions cross-teams to facilitate this and to work on a Front-end road map together.

Job duties and responsibilities

§ Translate user stories into production grade React application

§ Define and make architectural choices together with our FE architect that will lead to a smart product

§ Build reusable components and Front-end libraries for future use

§ Work with the UX team to incorporate customer feedback and create an easy to use and loveable product

§ Work on bugs and customer feedback in a way that makes our customers happy

§ Integrate our corporate websites with our other digital solutions (like eCommerce)

§ You will assess feature and implementation requests and build these within new or existing AEM ecosystems


We are looking for someone with:

§ Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

§ Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (SASS) and CSS-in-JS (styled components)

§ Strong proficiency in JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus)

§ Knowledge of Responsive Design, attention to details, and development best practices

§ Experience with build tools (webpack, gulp)

§ Experience in working with React and good understanding of its core principles

§ Experience with CMS / AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) is a huge plus

§ Familiarity with RESTful APIs

§ Experience working with unit testing (Jest)

§ Knowledge of version control systems like Git

§ Demonstrable ability to make no-nonsense architectures and software and work on integrations with the backend
