Process Architect

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Process Architect who has thorough experience with process mapping and architecture management in a complex and international business environment.

In this practice, your role is to capture, maintain and govern the processes of ERIKS and to publish them in the ERIKS Process Map, realizing ERIKS’ vision of centralizing process information for all countries in Europe.

You consult and assist colleagues with designing and capturing process changes from all parts of the organization. You maintain the process framework, templates and conventions, and are the quality gatekeeper of new or changed process and related artifacts such as procedures, organizational roles, instructions, learnings and metrics. Together with a team of Business Process Owners, you govern and approve those process changes before (re)incorporating them into the process map. 

You will be part of ERIKS Digital, a team of 100+ professionals enabling the processes of ERIKS with digital solutions. You will work together and report to the Sr Business & Process Architect. You’ll have recurring meetings with the Business Process Owners, for validation and approval of process changes. The Business Process Owners are responsible for process map content within a specific process domain. Currently, four process domains exist: Products/Services, Customers, Suppliers and the Supply Chain & Logistics. For each process mapping initiative (most on temporary bases) you work closely with process experts and business representatives to assist in defining functional business designs and capturing related processes.


As Process Architect you are able to act at strategic, tactical and operational level. You are fast learner with good analytical abilities, and have an entrepreneurial approach in which you are not afraid to take the initiative and drive decisions. You also have good communication skills, and you can think in conceptual terms. You like working according to schedule and focussing on output.

We believe the right candidate meets the following criteria:

  • - Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Operations Management or similar
  • - Proven experience (3> years) within a multinational (industrial) company
  • - Background in business process management, business administration/analytics, or LEAN/Six Sigma.
  • - Experience with process mapping (preferably in BPMN notation) and process mapping systems
  • - Fluent in written and spoken (business) English
