DevOps Engineer

Job description

ERIKS Digital is looking for an awesome DevOps Engineer to help build our road to production.

 

As DevOps Engineer your responsibilities will grow with the company. In a team of four, you will be working on an automated environment with CI/CD pipelines for all the development teams. The dev teams are working on our eCommerce, Gateway, Data and IoT solutions. You will have a crucial role in our tech department and we are looking for a passionate person to join.

Primary responsibilities: 

  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for all our internal developments

  • Provide insights into scalability and maintenance to Software Engineers

  • Implement solutions for automated provisioning of servers and scaling

  • Build and maintain our production infrastructure to ensure scalability and high-availability while maximising development team efficiency

  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to the product and the infrastructure

  • Ensure proactive and sufficient monitoring is in place for vital services, more advanced alarming system for notifying unusual behaviour

  • Perform automated deployments to create new or update existing DTAP environments.

  • Be responsible for packaging and distribution of our custom software libraries

Requirements

We are looking for someone with*:

  • Orchestration skills with Kubernetes/K8s, coupled with a great understanding of DevOps principles
  • Significant experience of running services in private/public/hybrid cloud

  • Experience of Automation/Configuration management tools, preferably Ansible

  • Experience with Automated build tools like Jenkins

  • Experience with monitoring solutions and tools like Prometheus/DataDog

  • Analytical by nature to troubleshoot and solve complex System Engineering problems

  • Experience supporting high availability systems and scalable architectures

  • Experience supporting network protocols including IP, TCP, HTTP, DNS, TLS

  • Experience with server, storage management and containerisation 

  • Experience with open-source technology such as PostgreSQL, Docker Swarm

  • Background in System Administration and/or Software Development

  • Scripting skills : Bash/Python
