Content Engineer (PIM)

Job description

We are looking for a Content Engineer! 


As our content engineer you'll advise and support the (CoE) product management in the use and the maintenance of product data in PIM. You will be in close collaboration with product managers, suppliers and manufacturers - to keep our product data up-to-date and make sure that it is in-line with the expectations of both our internal as our external customers, simplifying ‘the finding’ and purchase of our products on the Webshop.


Responsibilities

  • Support the product managers in completing product data files which are imported in PIM in order to improve the data quality to the needed level for external publication (Webshops, paper catalogues, datasheets, leaflets, website,).
  • Process the data in PIM : deduplication, classification and assignment to the Webshop structure.
  • Check and approve the data provided by product management before processing and makes the data available for our customers, f.e. via the Webshop.


Scope and place in the organization

  • Is a member of the MDM/PIM-team which operates for the complete ERIKS Group
  • Reports functionally (and in the most cases also hierarchically) to the Product Content Manager
  • Is a member of the virtual, decentralised PIM (Product Information Management) organization with colleagues across the ERIKS organisation.
  • Comes within the organization mainly in contact with CoE and local Product Managers
  • Works fairly independent cross-county / cross Sales organization for the assigned product group(s)
  • Works daily with PIM - Product Information Management software : centralized database for the maintenance and the enrichment of product data of the complete product range on behave of the ERIKS Group

Requirements

  • General interest in technical products preferably in the categories Tools & Maintenance en PT (power transmitting)
  • Broad knowledge of products and applications of the dedicated product groups
  • Clear understanding of our market(s) and customers
  • Very profound knowledge of Excel en Access (experience with databases is a plus)
  • Language: Dutch and English 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capacities
  • Determined to find the correct information to enrich our product data
  • Administratively correct and punctual
